Starship GAMMA
Story driven shmup where every 10 seconds the player is changed between Firing Bullets and Absorbing Enemy Bullets. Play as Starship GAMMA escaping from hostile Alien Territory and survive the encounter with the BOSS.
Arcade mode is also included.
Firing bullets and taking hits uses the energy reserves of the ship that can be recharged by absorbing enemy bullets or collecting debris from the destroyed enemy ships.
In the Story, the player ship has a technology called P.A.S (Power Absorber Shield), but it can only stay active for 10 seconds before enter in cool down mode which also lasts for 10 seconds, but enables the ship to fire bullets using their energy.
This game was made by solo dev Thiago Tesophus in 1 week for the Bullet Hell Jam 2021.

Decent, but holy crap dude the really slow and unskippable dialog almost made me quit this. If you ever update this or make another shmup, definitely remember that people want to actually play the game, not just look at it.
Yeah... Definitely my bad... I was so excited with my first game jam and stressed by the time limit... That I ended up over thinking the gameplay and focusing on story for a bullet hell game... But that's okay, lesson learned. xD
I am actually working right now on a new bullet hell for the Bullet Hell Jam 2022... There is 8 days left... If you have the time to play it when released, it would be great to receive your feedback.

I wish there was a way to speed up dialogue, but otherwise I thought this was great! For a week, the length is impressive. and the alternation between absorbing and dodging bullets is a cool mechanic.
